Aural and Oral Skill - refelction of WEEK 3

Dear course mates!

I believe it finds you great . This past week has been a little better but very exposing to new skills and a lot of webs! How fascinating!  I still spend longer hours, I come to my evening class work office from 50 min away area in traffic jam and work on it.  Sometimes my fingers freeze over the keyboard ! It is taking long. But thanks to Donna's post on her blogging.

I have done following assignments  for our course 3 rd week.

1.  Weekly reading and posting a discussion on next two topic-"New Perspectives in Teaching Pronunciation": Maria Busa. "The Employment of CALL in Teaching Second /Foreign Language Speaking  Skills" Julia Gong . The 1st article by Maria Busa has been very exposive to me as I concern phonetic teaching.CALL article has given me wonderful overview about computer assisted language learning and list of web links Donna provided. The reading was hard at the beginning however, once you got the logical connection is became a lot easier.

 2. Nicenet discussion participation .  Posted  about the findings I have come from readings and list of link and my own opinion on the writers. I have come to realization that what an enormous amount of resources are available in the cyber  net and know the links and accesses to it,such as esl.about.com onestopenglish.com  have given me some major links that are upgrading in my teaching .Conversational links at esl.about.com

 3. Wonderfully, social bookmark designing instruction was provided. It has been struggle how to keep or save your favorite links. I have created a social bookmark using delecious.com

4. located my URL on wiki and added only three links . https:delecious.com/khuyagtt9  In fact I should add more links to it. There is a need for me to surf more in given resources of links.

Delecious.com is is very useful and organizes all our favourite links in the internet. Since it is e-learning, e-links are there!

5.Reflection on Sample Project Report. Now the Real construction is entering it gate!:>)  I chose Author: Prem Bahadur Phyak from Tribhuvan University in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Project
Project Report for Graduate Students in the Department of English Education, University Campus, Tribhuvan University, Nepal.

My reflection on above sample project report was posted on Nicenet discussion.-hot project starts! This report was how she planned  and conducted action research, which involves a change related to technology use in her classroom setting and students usage of technology.  At the same time, two ideas of class project is coming into my mind.
My intermediate/upper-intermediate level writing class is going to be in similar situation, I am going to teach them citations, researching, writing essays and formal writings using same strategy as she did. Google account, blogging, wiking, providing links using some of the writing lesson plans and instructions on ESL.about.com and other links.
Relatively. internet access is quite common here. You need a device.

6. Reflection of 3 rd week, blogging helps me to compile findings and learning I am getting throughout the week and do analysis.I congratulate on myself !  I am glad this week  has come to an end.  Have a great weekend course mates!

P.S. Now I  need to discover more or study more and add into my social bookmakring in Delecious.com

WEEK 2 , REFLECTION

Dear all,

Warm greetings from cold Mongolia! I can see this course is going dynamic and involving. I still feel I am not being at my most performance. I hope to catch on at better performing for the course. Congrats to you those who have been "crazy" in your learning !

Course assignment of the week seemed  relatively a bit easier and less rushing !  Whew!

This week,
1. I got newer  information on Web Searching.
www.noodletool.com/debbie/literacies/information    provided by the instructor is refined engine for me. There I can find lots of teaching resources, sample lesson plan, games by accessing to Inute or more.
This engine is going to be used commonly . For a limited time, I have come  two or more web-pages that was useful  which I have summed on  posting  on  Mr.Nicenet.

Normally I have used web searching on my Master thesis writing in Linguistics here at a college and my topic was about "horse color name analysis " of english and mongolian. I had to find scholar writing on the topic. Now I know better engines for web searching .   It definitely takes time and practice/discovery on more literacy.
Meanwhile, Technology Tip  and Choose the Best Search for Your information needs  . The provided sites also gives me chance to narrow my search and provide annotated academic webs.

2. Writing objectives. I fully agree with well written class objective." ABCD " method model helps me to checklist my objectives I write. It is easy to remember . I should get on into practice of checking ABCD model on my written objectives. This assignment have provided some good resources on writing objective. It is a tough job though. Currently  I have been teaching couple of translation course . It has been tough.  I can use this model in any course objective writing.  I have posted a sample ABCD model on Mr Nicenet.

Thanks again for the wonderful sources ! It is helpful.

I am better in teaching ESP courses and some general English level classes. Every time you teach , you learn new things. I must use more resources on my classes. Writing is definitely my favorite class to teach. The method is going to be used more frequently on these courses! Goodluck on myself !

3. Now I am blogging on my blog . :>)

I conclude that noodletools.com  is most commonly used for my teaching!   Fantastic learning it has been.

Thanks to Donna and sheers!  Have a good weekend!
